Automatic Backup Generator Maintenance

Your emergency backup generator is no different than the family vehicle. Just like a vehicle needs regular oil changes, battery checkups, and other maintenance tasks and parts replacement, your standby generator is no different.

GenerX Generators provides generator maintenance to homeowners, commercial, and industrial business owners and operators for all types of emergency generators including Generac.

GenerX Generators has a large warehouse stacked with all types of generator parts and supplies. Our warehouse also carries parts to fit Generac generators and other manufacturers such as Honeywell generators. We also have a network of affiliated partners that can quickly supply us with parts not warehoused on-site.

Generator Repair

Have a generator issue but it isn’t a Generac? Not a problem. We only sell Generac generators but will repair generators from other manufacturers. Common non-Generac generators we’ve repaired often include brands such as Kohler, CAT, Briggs & Stratton, Champion, Honeywell, Cummins, and many more.

Generator Service

Nothing is worse than having your emergency generator fail during a power outage. GenerX provides backup generator checkups and service to ensure you don’t go without power when it’s needed most.

Generator Maintenance & Service FAQs:

Question: How often should I service my Generator?

Answer: We recommend that you schedule a service appointment for your Generator at least one time per year, or if the unit has ran for an extended period of time during an outage. (24 hours of run time)

Question: How long does the service take?

Answer: We understand that you’re busy and strive to inconvenience you as little as possible. Service appointments can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Question: Do I need to be home during my service?

Answer: Nope! As long as the generator is accessible from the outside you do not need to be home during the time of your service appointment.

Question: How will I receive my invoice if I am not home?

Answer: Everything is done digitally! Just make sure your email is correct in our system and you will receive a service report via email.

Question: What if I have an issue with my generator in the middle of the night or during a storm?

Answer: Don’t stress, we’re here for you 24/7… literally! Our service teams are on call 24/7 should you ever have an issue with your generator.

Question: What is included in the Annual Maintenance Service?

Answer: During the AMS we change the oil, oil filter, air filter, and spark plugs. We test the battery for Cold Cranking Amperage (CCA) and voltage. We make sure the unit is producing the right power at the correct frequency, check belts, hoses, coolant levels and for any signs of rust. We also inspect the transfer switch to make sure everything is still working correctly. If you are home we will simulate a power outage to ensure the entire system is functioning properly.
