The local details that shape your install: who runs the grid, who issues the permit, and which gas partners are in your area.
Florida Power & Light supplies Jupiter's electricity, per the town; the town's own utility handles water.
Exhaust must stay 10 feet from every opening, and gas takes its own permit. GenerX pulls the permit with a licensed electrician and schedules the inspections. You sign the NOC.
Two gas utilities are on the town's list, TECO Peoples Gas and Florida Public Utilities. Without a main, the unit runs on propane.
Milton knocked out 76,160 FPL customers across Palm Beach County in October 2024.

Jupiter Pricing
What Does a Generator Cost in Jupiter?
Whole home installs in the West Palm Beach area typically run $7,000 to $25,000+. Here's where most Jupiter homes land.
Essential circuits (lights, fridge, AC unit)
Most homes under 3,000 sq ft (full house)
Larger homes, multiple HVAC zones
Large homes, home offices, medical equipment
Prices include equipment, in-house installation, transfer switch, permit fees, and our 12-year warranty on every Generac air-cooled unit we install. Where a Peoples Gas or Florida Public Utilities main reaches your street, a natural gas connection typically adds minimal cost compared with a propane tank installation.
Because GenerX employs all labor in-house, we eliminate the third-party markup that drives up installation costs elsewhere. Our buying volume as Florida’s largest dealer means we get better equipment pricing than smaller dealers. The result: a higher-quality installation at a more competitive price, not a trade-off.

Frequently Asked Questions
Jupiter Generator Questions, Answered
What does Jupiter require for a generator permit?
The Town of Jupiter Building Department, which takes plans online. The checklist wants a survey showing the unit and its setbacks, a load calculation, an electric riser, a slab and anchor detail, and specs for the generator and transfer switch; gas is a separate permit filed alongside. GenerX pulls the permits with a licensed electrician and schedules the inspections. You sign the Notice of Commencement and give us a property survey.
Where can a generator go on a Jupiter lot?
Jupiter wants the exhaust at least 10 feet away, in every direction, from any opening into the house, soffit vents included, and the unit must meet the same setbacks as the home. At the free estimate your Field Engineer marks each opening on the survey and picks the spot.
Which evacuation zone is my Jupiter home in?
Palm Beach County draws Zones A through E, and anyone in a mobile, manufactured or substandard home evacuates regardless of zone. For your street, check the county’s Know Your Zone tool.
Is natural gas available at my Jupiter address?
In parts of town. The Town of Jupiter names TECO Peoples Gas and Florida Public Utilities as its gas providers. Off the mains, the generator takes propane from a tank on the lot; the free estimate tells you which.
Will my Jupiter HOA allow a whole home generator?
Check with the association first if your community is deed restricted, because the town’s checklist says its building department cannot enforce association rules. GenerX prepares what the board reviews: site drawing, sound sheet and screening plan.
How fast can GenerX reach Jupiter for repairs?
Jupiter is covered from our nearest facility. Emergency repair is a 24/7 service, and when a large outage hits, our statewide fleet sends crews into Palm Beach County.
