Whole Home Generator Installation in Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi
Licensed electricians and factory-trained installers from a Generac Prestige Dealer, handling every step from the free estimate to final inspection.
Plan Ahead
Install Your Generator Before the Next Outage
Demand for home standby generators is up and supply chains are still tight, so wait times have grown. Planning ahead gets your generator installed and tested before the next major storm, not scheduled after it.
GenerX keeps a large inventory of Generac generators and handles the permits, the installation and the inspections with its own team, so the time between your estimate and a working system is as short as your permit office allows.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions About Generator Installation
What does GenerX handle during a generator installation?
All of it. We pull the required permits with a licensed electrician, perform the initial site work, install the concrete pad, place and anchor the generator, connect it to your fuel supply, install the automatic transfer switch, wire the generator and system controls, then test the system and activate your manufacturer warranty.
How long will the installation take?
Most projects take 2 to 4 weeks from the first consultation to final hookup, depending on permitting and site preparation. Once our crew is on site, most installations are completed in one day.
Do I need a permit for generator installation?
Yes, and we pull it. GenerX pulls the required permits with a licensed electrician and schedules the inspections, and the job is not closed out until they pass. From you we need two documents: a signed Notice of Commencement and a readable property survey.
How do I choose the right size generator?
That is the first conversation, before anything is ordered. A GenerX Field Engineer reviews your electrical system and load requirements, then recommends the size that runs what you actually want powered during an outage rather than a catalog number.
My home is in a flood zone. Can you still install?
Usually, yes. Flood zone installations carry extra regulatory requirements, and we work with you to find a solution that meets them rather than turning the job away.
Which generator brands do you install?
Generac and Kohler. GenerX is a Generac Prestige Dealer, a designation shared by less than 1% of dealers nationwide, and we install the Guardian Series, the QuietSource Series and Generac Mobile Link remote monitoring.
Can I finance my generator installation?
Yes. Financing is provided through Synchrony Bank, subject to credit approval, with 0%* financing options and monthly payments as low as $150/mo*.
Where do you install home generators?
Across Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi. Choose your state on our service areas page, then your city.
